[CAS - S006] Rapid Syllable Transition (ReST)

一套來自澳洲的CAS treatment approach (Ballard, Robin, McCabe, & McDonald, 2010)。2010年第一次見到呢個approach 發佈research paper 。當時係打正旗號 ‘a novel treatment of prosody in children with CAS’。一睇已經覺得好juicy。


喺全世界第一份Randomised control trial of treatment for CAS (Murray, McCabe, & Ballard, 2015) 入面,ReST 同 Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme third edition (NDP3: Williams & Stephens, 2004) 做咗比較,兩個treatment programme 同樣有效。ReST 係一個得到實証嘅treatment approach。


ReST 嘅重點係,用nonword stimuli with varied stress and sounds 去訓練CAS小朋友,等佢地可以用呢啲stimuli 作為一個template,去學其他字及改善現有啲real words production。ReST 同樣係apply Principle of Motor Learning (PML; Schmidt, 1975)嘅。


其實University of Sydney 製作咗一個網頁去介紹呢一個treatment approach。入面有晒training materials,各位治療師可以上網認識下。


唔知Dr. Tricia McCabe (即係呢個treatment approach 其中一個好重要嘅developer,2018年將會升為Professor) 親自講解CAS同ReST,你會唔會有興趣呢?
